Meet the Team

Here at Fultons we are a small family run business that enjoys creativity and artistry in all that we do. From the youngest team member to the oldest we strive for excellence and are always looking for ways to enhance our skills and knowledge. We aim to deliver the highest levels of customer service and look forward to welcoming you to Lakes Jewellery Works soon!

Brian Fulton
Founder & Master Jeweller
Brian was born in Manchester and has been hand making jewellery since he started college in 1982. He has founded jewellery workshops in India and Bosnia. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths, a Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company and has been granted the Freedom of the City of London. Passionate about jewellery, he also loves cycling and running and his favourite drink is a black Americano.
Zoe Fulton
Founder & Cafe Manager
Brian’s wife Zoe is the public face of Fultons, who originally trained as a mental health nurse which can be a help when it gets hot in the kitchen! Organisation is one of her many strong points and she has a very wide ranging knowledge of the jewellery trade. Her favourite coloured stones are peridot, tourmaline and turquoise and her favourite drink is a flat white with oat milk.
Theo Fulton
Front of House
The youngest team member who has performed in shows at the theatre. Likes playing guitar, rugby, football, and Xbox and is currently learning to make jewellery. At present, he is undecided on what to do on leaving school.
Mercedes Fulton
Barista
Part-time Cumbrian, part-time Manc, Mercedes is soon to become a nurse. She’s a social butterfly who’s favourite drink is a cafe bombon. Talented coffee maker with the superpower of putting smiles on peoples’ faces.
Tim
The Algebrist
Ex-assassin who now prefers loving hugs. He has his own zoo, listens to Uriah Heap, and is a proficient fell-walker. Would like to open his own car dealership and likes traditional tea with semi-skimmed milk.
Christine
Biker
Christine is Front of House in The Bench Cafe and is the newest member of our team. She loves dogs and likes watching rugby (league!), Moto GP, and exploring the countryside on a motorbike. Favourite drink is a chai latte.
Marc
Fisherman
Marc is also South African and trained with Carin at the same university but, incredibly they separately made their way to a jewellers in the Lake District - an amazing coincidence! Marc holds the same qualifications as Carin and is an expert in computer aided design. His hobbies include the great outdoors, fishing, cooking and making jewellery, and his favourite gemstone is the pink sapphire. Marc’s favourite drink is beer!
Jono
Sailor
Jono has a background in graphic and urban design and takes care of Fultons’ website needs. Jono is his special Fultons nickname and his hobbies include fellwalking and sailing on beautiful Derwentwater. Loves all gemstones and his favourite drink is a bottle of Karma Cola.
Carin
Mountaineer
Carin qualified as a goldsmith at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa and has a National Diploma in Jewellery Design and Manufacture. Carin loves the big outdoors and is also an outdoor instructor. Her favourite stones are any gem that has interesting inclusions and her favourite drink is an Americano.
